Another quality release from the Discover label by this up and coming
producer. Following on from the success of his last single 'The Door', this
is another uplifting yet minimal number which is bound to get the floor
dancing. This track utilises a small vocal snippet from The Matrix 'Let me
tell you why you're here...' which is used to good effect. Askew's
productions are always driving yet minimal, with only short breaks to keep
the pace on the floor moving and this release is no different. DJs who like
to keep the energy on the dancefloor and keep the breakdowns to a minimum
will want to check this out.
For me though, the better mix is that provided by Kyau Vs Albert, a view it
seems is shared by the label who have placed their stunning mix on the A
side of the vinyl. This is a fantastically uplifting number, which starts
with a lush driving bassline and tight percussion. This then takes us
towards the breakdown, again using the small vocal sample. The riff in the
breakdown is simply spine tingling and is guaranteed to have the crowd
smiling. You're going to be hearing this out a lot over the next month or
two.
