Tiesto - Traffic
Nebula
Whether you're in love with or hate the latest offering from Tiesto, one thing you can't deny is;
When you become the worlds number 1 Dj, you obviously have an idea about making a club track that people
will dance in sweaty euphoria to. Traffic is a long way away from Tiesto's vocal productions, it's a
killer instrumental with a Marco V feel to it. A harder edged Tiesto, with more build ups than a housing
development plot Traffic plays with the club goers anticipation dials. The simple yet extremely effective
synth stabs roll over the top of infectiously timed snare rolls which work in perfect harmony with the beat.
Sometimes it's cliché to describe a trance track is bouncy, but there really is no better word for it.
When the track finally does drop, you've been expecting this for minutes, the unleashed relief and
joy combined with raw, pure emotion is quite an adrenaline rush. Many will mock it's simplicity, others
will marvel at yet another shrewd production from the worlds numero uno.
Traffic is scheduled for official release on the 29th of September on the ever consistent Nebula
label. It's been a long time since the last solo production from the main man, and it's the first in what
promises to be a long line of tasters for the new album. Expected around May 2004 time, entitled 'Don't
hold your breathe' Whether or not that is to be the case, we shall find out. What remains to be said is,
Traffic is undoubtedly a tune which will cause no end of damage where ever it's dropped, a tenacious and
likeable outing.
