Mat Silver vs Tony Burt - Ultimate Wave (B Beach breaks mix)
Every known and then a track comes along thats perfect in every way. The
chances are however, whilst we browse the racks at HMV we miss what could become
our all time favourite track purely because its by an artist we've never heard of.
Although I'd never no, I've probably skipped past Ultimate Wave more times than
countable on one hand. Luckily for me a friend just happened to be playing it in
his car one night, my life is better for it climbing in there with him!
Before we go any further this track is breaks. From start to finish
Ultimate Wave is rinsed with the dirtiest, heaviest breaks I've heard in a track
for a very long time. The driving bass line will take your sound equipment to its
very limits and shatter a weak setup with ease. This is not for the faint hearted!
Yet, however frightening it may seem to the weak its lush heavenly vocals during
its break will put a smile on even the most worried of faces.
Being a fan of breaks it doesn't take much innovation to have me lapping
up the latest tune in that format. The heavier the better in my eyes. Whilst this
lacks originality this doesn't mean to say its poor. The production is nice and
crisp, it doesn't go on for to long nor does it feel like its left us short. This
track is just right. Currently the hottest thing in my box without a shadow of a
doubt.
