Interview
(by Graham the Retarded chimp)

Graham - We’ll start off with the usual boring ones I'm afraid, how long have you had a passion for the dance scene?

Mark Norman – We make music for more then 14 years now. It al started with tapes and making mixes. Then we start buying equipment with our saved money. Little by little we build our studio. In the beginning we made several music styles from the oldskool breakbeats to Hip hop. We liked every kind of dance music and we still do.

Graham - Have you always been producing together or do you have your separate guises?

Mark Norman - In the beginning we made music by our own but later we did everything together because it feels very good when we are together in the studio. It is a sort of magic when we are busy. But individually we can produce our own music.

Graham - What kit do you use to make tracks?

Mark Norman – In our studio we work with Cubase SX and software plugins but also with a lot of hardware like the roland MC 505, Novation, Nordlead 3 etc. Also we use the analog Mackie 32 channel mixer. We recently bought an Avalon compressor / EQ which gives our tracks a warm feeling.

Graham - How do you feel about the digital age, what with MP3/CD taking over as the most common used format?

Mark Norman - Well u have to go with your time I think. Compare it with a video player and a dvd player. You can still use the video if u want but everyone uses the DVD at the moment. I think the quality of the MP3 and CD still increases in future. Also it is more easy to carry. But I prefer a good combi of vinyl and CD.

Graham - Do you prefer Dj’ing or making a killer anthem that everyone loves?

Mark Norman - Well the best thing is to play your own killer anthem in front of a crowd who are going totally crazy

Graham - What's been your favorite event to date, if any?

Mark Norman - Hmm that’s definitely at the Mystery land festival last year. It was really strange because I had a funeral in the morning that day. In the afternoon I had to play for more then 7000 people. I think I played the best set so far because everyone was going totally mad.

Graham - And a little fun for our readers, what’s the worst thing you’ve ever done whilst drunk… that you can remember?

Mark Norman – That was at a private party at new years eve four years ago. I picked up the wrong needle so at a sudden moment there was no sound and everyone was looking at me. I thought oeps…and then I dropped the needle again in the good place so the people screamed and thought that was part of the record…….haha

Graham - Tell us a joke, the harsher the better.

Mark Norman - Hmmm…….A woman visiting her doctor’s office suddenly blurts out, “Doctor, kiss me!” The doctor looks at her and says that it would be against his code of ethics to kiss her. About 20 minutes later the woman shouts again, “Doctor, please, kiss me just once!” Again he refuses apologetically but says that as a doctor he simply cannot kiss her. Finally another 15 minutes pass, and the exasperated woman pleads with the doctor, “Doctor, doctor, please kiss me just once!” “Look,” says the doctor. “I am sorry. I just can’t kiss you. In fact, I probably shouldn’t even be fucking you

Graham - What country does the best porn?

Mark Norman – Holland for sure…….

Graham –Have you ever wanted to punch a clubber because they’ve been a bit to star struck?

Mark Norman - No, every time when I play the people have a good time and I don’t believe in hitting people u know…..
