Graham
It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed a track and I’m doing it on laptop speakers so you'll have to excuse me if the spellings crap or more importantly things aren’t as accurate as they should be (almost mono speakers, not quite but might as well be!) Anyhow so this new tracks out on Nebula, now it’s been a long time since I traded my headphones in for a play station 2 but if I recall Nebula were behind some of the better tracks of the trance generation, 4 Strings - Take me away, Ties to - Battleship grey and Armin’s - Yet Another Day. So with these in mind I was quite eager to have a jazz of this... Well, mpfs is predominantly a trance producer’s site and this is not trance. Its chart dance music, with potential of being as annoying as Dj Alligator - Blow my whistle bitch. The lyrics are catchy, its uplifting with a memorable beat, it’s just unlikely to find its way in your CD collection if you’re a Ferry Corsten man throughout. With the right promotion you can expect this on radio stations across the country and annoying teenagers chanting away. The remixes have so much potential, particularly the Martin ten Velden Remix, some nice electro hooks in there, quite dark and dirty. The vocals are half dubbed, not quite so in your face so if you’re not a fan, there is a little relief. The friendly mix again has some great ideas, gritty with a housey electro feel to it, again the vocals are half dubbed, a bonus. Overall as I’ve stated previously, with the right promotion this could be everywhere soon. The original is probably not to your taste however assuming the vocals don’t frustrate you the remixes are pretty dishy and well worth a look into... Will I be keeping it? The remixes yes, the original, no chance!

Yaz
Got this a while back - absolute toss IMO. But then to be fair I'm completely bored with 99% of the generic electro crap I get mailed week in week out.
