Graham
I'm the black sheep of the MPFSR family, there's no denying that, so having Neil pin me down on the floor and say "work with this one bitch or i'll cut you" whilst holding a cleaver to my throat did me good. All remixes are curtosy (sp?) of forum members who've graced us with their presence over the last lots of years thus making them a little extra special. To us anyway. banzai
Part 1 - Sounds ok, bit bland though..?Part 2 - Does nowt for me, got a squealy riff straight out of a crap hard house record 5th Dynasty Remix - This is more like it, love the vibe in this, lovely key changes! . I'll be buying this! Evasive Remix - It's OK this one, not really a fan of the sounds used in this though, seems to lack the power that soundscapes remix has. Suntory's Remix - decent remix but not the sort of thing I like. 5th Dynasty Remix all the way here!!
Graham
Added Hush cats Part Two is my favourite by far... Really like how it kicks with a tough beat completley devoid of everything prior to its build up
Xalno
ooh cool. Nice to see this one. Yep love soundscape's remix, very powerful. Mine hmm, hard to explain I wouldn't say it purposely lacks energy, but it's supposed to be a different vibe. It starts with quite a funkier bassline, tried to mix it up a bit. RJ's originals are of course really nice. and Seeman's mix is cool and was a real suprise. edit/ the sample of mine plays in from the breakdown which is quite misleading on the rest of the track. Cus as I mentioned the build is quite funky.

rj
the original came out pretty different to how i intended. right waaaay back when i first started working on it i was going for a sort of vibe similar to marcel woods - advanced, only with a more trancey riff (as provided by helix). but i couldn't get the raw power behind it without adding loads of elements in & filling up the stereo field, which is why the backing turned out more like a standard trance track. the main melody was also meant to sound uber powerful (like say, plastic boy - silverbath) but again i couldn't get it strong enough without it sounding all screechy & hard. given this, it may sound a bit on the bland side as far as melodic trance goes... plus the intro melody only got added as a relatively last minute thing to make it sound more interesting as a result i don't think it's been the best terrafusion tune musically.. but definitely the best produced one which i'm happy enough with part 2 was another last minute fun thing.. think it'd sound wicked in a club. kinda wanted to give it it's edge back after i'd effectively watered down the original but anyhoo, the remixes. 5th dynasty mix is lovely, adds a nice euphoric feel to the track, no complaints here. the hush cat mix is pretty much a different track bar the odd remnants of the original, but it works.. very different vibe. seeman's i like, although i'm not totally sure the soft breakdown goes well with the hard-edged main bit. the evasive mix is aaaalmost there but is missing something i can't put my finger on, it def sounds different but i'm not sure that works in its favour.. if the kick were harder it could be reshaped into more of a techtrance type affair & possibly work better, i dunno. i don't dislike it as it is tho, has some good moments
Ad
thanks a lot guys! really glad you like it personally scott's hushcat mix is my favourite, although the bassline actually reminds me a lot of 'midnight saviour', quality piece of work though, great production

Neil
Hush cats is my fave, remember when I first heard a little sample of this and I was like "gotta have it", if I hadnt have gotten onto the case it might have ended up a different tune. Xalno
i'd also like to add that bar a few sound-re touches mine was made in september 2006, so probably not a true reflection of where i'm at now production wise. there we go the excuses are now all out of the way. enjoy the release. lol

banzai
Just a quick question, I thought the originals of this ep were pretty similar in style to that persequor release, how come this wasn't a white release?
Neil
Just a quick question, I thought the originals of this ep were pretty similar in style to that persequor release, how come this wasn't a white release? Do you think? Perhaps Part II but I can see people like armin playing this track due to more melodic trancey breakdowns and stuff wheres shine on is quite tuff and more tech trance which is what mpfs white is all about.
